It's like the party was held and it is over!
It is not over and has just begun!
Everybody post up and be heard! Don't let the movement die because the Tea Party is over....time to talk about another one and the subjects at hand so when the media sticks a microphone in out face, we know what we are talking about!
Post up! | |

Greetings! I have been unable to create a new thread, or I would be posting lots of good info. Steve

Perhaps many are shy or new to posting. Perhaps they never protested anything before as they related to me on that day. Perhaps they feel their lives are too full. So are ours. We are all under the same and even greater burden. We are trying to run our companies and survive the maze of regulations, the insanity of new tax increases galore, and the mind boggling media lies. I ask all those who came to read, post and stay alive. Keep this going one step at a time. Can we please work on the next event? And plan July 4th? We need time to get the word out and the same voices cannot do it alone. I ask God to move your hearts and minds so that all will feel fervent in this effort. I am sure other cities are experiencing this malaise too. Perhaps we can link this site to any other city based groups just to share ideas, trade posts and create a national network of tea party blog sites. Thank you.

I can't create a thread either. Has everyone seen the Biz. Journal poll this week? http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/poll/

Hey, I'm here. I check lots of local blogs so it takes a while to get back to all of them. It's good to hear about what you guys have done against the half cent sales tax, I need to get out there with you!

Hey, we're out here! We've gone to the meetings and are keeping up with what's going on in Charlotte and D.C. Some of us who can't attend the meetings are writing letters, making calls, or waiting for the next chance to hold up a sign and make our voice heard! Our family will be at the next Tea Party, although we do wonder how many will make it since it's a popular vacation weekend. We're calling our representatives and our senators. Letting them know we're not going away. The major media outlets can ignore us, Jeanine Garafalo can call us names (all in the name of "tolerance", ironic isn't it?), the President and political leaders can dismiss us publicly but we're not going away! We're growing stronger with each step our country takes towards "Nationalism", "Socialism", choose your "ism". Realizing the transit tax is what everyone has their eyes on right now, there is a property tax increase coming for those of us in the "unincorporated areas" of Charlotte. We deliberately stayed OUT of the city limits when we built 15 years ago. But the giant claws of government are encroaching quickly and we will soon join the ranks of those paying higher taxes within the city limits as they annex us into their grasp. The only good thing about that infringement on our property rights is that we'll finally get to VOTE for these people who make decisions that affect our lives day in and day out. Until now, we've had no voice in the city elections...and very little voice within the county. So, take heart, there are many of us out here still FED UP and still involved. We may not post often but we're out here! We're with you!

Could be that it's not convenient for some or that we forget to check the board. I know I haven't been here for a while. I kind of forgot about it until I got an email. I'm more likely to stay in touch via Facebook or a Yahoo group.

Hey Now, I am here, but the reality is being one of the minority that believes in hard work, I am busy making a living. Apparently soon I will be supporting everyone else as well.
Anyone else notice how the Big Health Insurers are all jacking up rates and decreasing benefits in unison? About the same time Obama is threatening to nationalize health care? Hmmmm, Coincidence? I think this is just the beginning of the hidden taxes and costs to the working class to pay for the insane spending.
