Wow,  I can't wait to see the news tonight.  What a fantastic day it's been!!

Thanks to everyone.  Thanks to Mathew for making this go.  I can't imagine the number of hours that he's put in on this over the last month or so.

Thanks to the guys in the "STAFF"shirts that put everything together for us and then took it all back down.  Thanks to the signmakers and the folks that took the time to donate to the cause.  Thanks to everyone that has spent ANY amount of time helping to get this going.  Your contribution absolutely made a difference.

Mostly though, thanks to a couple of thousand fantastic people that made my day.  This wasn't my idea of what a "protest" should be.  This was Americans... real Americans... getting together to speak with once voice.  For those that weren't there, I know I heard the national anthem at least three times and when we didn't get the music the third time we sang it as a group.

That final anthem sung a cappella by 1500 voices was absolutely the most beautiful rendition of our national anthem that I've ever heard.  Well done all.

Oh, and thanks to the folks that went down and woke the Observer up.  Here's your reward:

I also wanted to say a big THANKS to all those who helped organize this (Matthew especially).  What an awe inspiring day!  It was truly a beautiful thing seeing all you great Americans coming together to save our country.  As was said many times at the Tea Party today, this is just the beginning.  I am so excited to see what is to come!  We must keep up the fight until we get our country back.

God Bless,

I was really impressed by the way everyone came together and how friendly complete strangers could be in our protest group. I started out with the Observer group and we walked to City Hall. On the way there there were only 2 people, and in their cars, that protested against us. One booed us and the other claimed we were "Haters". Haters of what? What sane person wouldn't be against government overspending and insane amounts of tax increases, etc?

P.S I met a lot of cool people there but one of the coolest was named Lori. I only met her for a short time but she made me feel welcomed. We ended up getting seperated in the crowd at the Observer. If you're reading this, you rock and it was nice to meet you!

As one of the yellow "STAFF" t-shirt wearing attendees today, I want to extend a serious THANKS to all of you who were out there today.  I worked on both Tea Parties that have been held in Charlotte so far.  Today blew my mind.  I never thought we would draw the crowd we did today.

As was stated by Matthew today, we plan on continuing this effort.  The organizers of both Charlotte Tea Parties are joining forces to build the Charlotte's permanent Tea Party group.  We will continue to need everyone's help through constantly writing your government representatives.  More than anything this Tea Party was about you....the concerned citizen..stay concerned, get involved and spread the word.  There is strength in numbers.

Once again a many many thanks for the showing today.

WOW! WOW! WOW!  This was my very first political rally -- what an initiation!  The event totally exceeded my expectations.  I made some new friends.  I'm inspired.  I'm ready to hit the ground running. We have no choice but to keep this moving.  Many thanks to all coordinators, volunteers, speakers and anyone else involved in making this event the huge success it was.

We need to keep this going. Let's not let it fade out. We need to get more people involved in this effort. I'm really happy with the huge turn out I saw there. This was honestly the first time I went out to a event like this. I'll be at more of them for sure. No more sitting on my couch shouting at the man on tv. Time to let our voices really be heard!

Thank you for a truly wonderful, patriotic event. It was a great day to be an American!!!

I met a woman who was visiting Charolotte on business from Carson City, Nevada. She said she gave all her employees the day off to go to their tea party. She said she was so glad she was able to participate.

Thank you all for your hard work.  Like many others this was my first time at protest, and I came home feeling more patriotic than I have in a very long time.  Looking for to the July 4th event.
