Okay, so check out this link for parking locations downtown:  http://www.aboutparking.com/charlotte-map.asp

There are three parking locations near City Hall.

Basically, find Bobcats (Time Warner) Arena on the map; it's on Trade Street.  Go South on Trade Street until you come to three parking lots clustered together.  Those are the ones I'd suggest.

Any questions, post 'em up!

Can we ride the train? Exactly where is the tea party in Charlotte?

Riding the train may undermine the message of fiscal responsibility and less government involvement in the private affairs of citizens.

My two cents.

Is there place specifically for handicap parking?  I'm determined to come with the Flatridge Floosies but won't be able to walk  very far.

The parking situation is the same as it was last year.  There is a parking deck on the NW corner of 4th and Davidson, across from the Government Center.  Also, there is a large gravel lot on the NE corner of Trade and Davidson.  Either way, be sure to bring cash for parking.  It is possible to take the light rail.  Just ride it to uptown and get off at the arena stop (I'm pretty sure that's right, someone correct me if I'm wrong.)  Then you just walk a couple of blocks south until you get to the party!

You can also park in the lot across the street for First Baptist Church Charlotte which is on the corner of Davidson and 3rd Street. Cost is $5.
