Is this forum only busy when they're is a tea party coming up that has been only 2 days this year?

Why is the voices of reason not posting here alot?

Just curious?

Well, I think maybe it's a little inconvenient to have to come here. I tend to forget about this forum and don't check in very often. It would be nice if we could get emails of the posts and be able to reply by email. I don't know if that's possible. I'm on Facebook a lot, so I'd prefer that we use the FB group for our discussions. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry if I offended anyone, just wondering where everybody is with so much happening.

I've been doing my best to keep up with what's happening, and keeping my friends and family informed via Facebook and my blog. Trying to make an impact on my little corner of the world.

Alot of us don't do the facebook or myspace thing and if you post links to those forums, we can join in too!

I don't do Facebook or Myspace either. So I guess it's just me and you Dice. I also was wondering where eveyone else was.

I fear that many are convinced that now Obama's polls are down, the fight it over. The truth is far darker than that.  I visit as I can but I do check the site out nearly daily.  I did wonder why there wasnt outrage at the owners of Concord Mills canning the Kiosk that promoted conservative merchandise. 

There were a couple of email blasts sent out from the Charlotte Tea Party about Free Market Warrior and their troubles with Concord Mills...you're right, though, the topic was largely ignored on this board. 

I am not sure what we can do to make this website more active.  I put up a survey looking for input, but really did not get much feedback beyond age/location/gender.  There are a lot of members here, and a lot of issues facing us today; I am equally surprised that this forum is not more active. 

I would disagree that it is because the President's numbers are down.  Instead, I believe that it is because people are begin to lose faith that we can turn things around.  Every day we read about another bill being passed which flies in the face of the Constitution, or tramples on our freedoms, or is going to raise taxes.  People have told me that they are beginning to lose hope.  Perhaps that is why this forum is not more active. 

To that, I would say that we cannot give up so quickly.  Anything worth having is worth fighting for.

Nobody should give up and in fact we are being effective with our phone calls or the "Cap and Trade" and the "Obamacare" would not be stalled down. The blue dog Democrats want to keep they're jobs and our voices are being heard!

Don't give up and post here more often to let people know the movement is still alive! 

I firmly believe there are thousands of people that would identify themselves as conservatives if we had a unified and easily understood message. You talk to people about what is going on, and I mean people, not necessarily people that are intersted in or follow politics and they will tell you that they do not like the policies being advanced by the Democrats. The biggest shame is that there are tens of thousands of people right here in Charlotte that do not know who controls the House, The Senate, and even who their representatives are. In short, they do not know whose policies are to blame for what is happening out there.

This is not the popular thing to say to people wearing a Republican Jersey, but it has everything to do with Big Government Republicans, the Bush's, the McCains, the Pat McCrory's of the world. It is so hard to distinguish between the parties, but given the clear choice, most people would choose to vote conservative. Even  the lower middle class, these are people we need to express our sense of individual liberty and freedom to, it is inherant in all human beings, but it needs to be awakened. The context of Patrick Henry's famous, "Give me libery or give me death" speech was that people could live peacefully, and reasonably well under British tyrrany, but what good is your daily meal and peace if you do not have the freedom to make a better life for yourself. Those at the bottom of the economic ladder need to be told that they have the freedom to fail, but they also have the freedom to work their way up and grab hold of what used to be known as The American Dream.

When given the choice between living in tyranny, but peace and with a daily meal, or in Revolution with the chance to fail, to die, to be imprisoned with a chance to succeed and live in liberty and Freedom our founding fathers chose the latter.

As for me, give me liberty or give me death.

I too am trying to find out where any town hall meetings are taking place around and in Rown County.I also heard Glenn Beck talking about the different locations Acorn has all around the country.One is located in NC and I am trying to find out where it is,or how to go about find out.We the people need to find this out and meet there and expose these people.This administration is stuffing things down our throat,not only in the open,but behind closed doors as well.We are making progress,and now is not the time to stand down.If anyone gets any news of new town hall meetings,please post them.

We need to post a website with the membership of ACORN and all its "employees" with photos. So we can show the community who is running the show... Bet a lot of felons are canvassing your neighborhoods as "community activists" who just happen to make tally sheets of which houses to hit in their off hours.
